Why We Founded MHR

We’re ham radio operators just like you. We recognized the significant challenges facing the ham radio community when it comes to sharing information and getting others interested in our hobby — and decided to try and help grow our fantastic hobby here in Minnesota.

We started Minnesota Ham Radio in 2022 in an effort to promote amateur radio in Minnesota and help provide useful and timely information to ham radio operators throughout Minnesota. We’re a FCC-recognized club under the callsign WØMHR – but we’re more of a community of like-minded operators.

Our goal is to bring you the best and most relevant information you need to know as a ham radio operator, or as someone interested in becoming a licensed ham radio operator in Minnesota.
