The 2024 Grand Forks Hamfest is gearing up to be an unmissable event for amateur radio enthusiasts and electronics hobbyists from across the region. Scheduled for an exciting day filled with learning, networking, and exploration, this annual gathering will take place in Grand Forks, promising a day packed with activities that cater to both seasoned ham radio operators and newcomers to the hobby. This event is organized by the FORX Amateur Radio Club.
- Swap Meet: A hamfest tradition, the swap meet is the perfect place to find rare components, used equipment, and unique gadgets. Whether you’re looking to buy, sell, or trade, the swap meet offers treasures for everyone.
- Educational Sessions: There will be a foxhunt beginning at 10 a.m. CT and an ARRL Forum beginning at 11 a.m. Information will be announced over the public address system by hamfest organizers.
- Licensing Exams: For those looking to earn or upgrade their amateur radio license, amateur radio exam test sessions will be conducted on-site from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The fee is $15 to take an exam.
- Food & Beverages: Enjoy a selection of food and beverages available for purchase throughout the day.
