“This position requires the candidate to work as part of a team and independently on the maintenance and improvement of the State of Minnesota’s Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) system, one of the largest P25 Motorola trunking systems in the world serving over 90,000 public safety professionals, and MN/DOT’s Road Weather Information System (RWIS) which provides real time road and weather information from over 125 statewide monitoring sites.

When performing daily work, candidates will be expected to perform installation, preventive maintenance, calibration and repairs on a variety of equipment and sensors, including but not limited to, mobile voice and data equipment, base station radios, wide area radio networks, local area networks, repeater station radios, consoles, Astro 25 digital trunked systems, digital microwave radios, radio transmitters, telephone systems, computer radar equipment, roadway camera systems, Roadway Weather Information Systems (RWIS) and related electronic communications hardware and software. This position does not require any tower climbing. This position does include up to 6 weeks of rotation scheduled paid on-call.”
